My goodness how time has flown since we launched our website! We have received such wonderful support and look forward to making a difference! I will be traveling with Doug and Paula Smith to Washington, D.C. to attend a fundraiser for USAgainst Alzheimer’s at The Phillips Collection for a staged reading of the first act of Surviving Grace, a witty and touching play written by Trish Vradenburg which chronicles her mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s disease and their complicated and often humorous relationship.

B.A.B.E.S. will be bringing Surviving Grace to San Diego in 2013. We look forward to collaborating with USAgainst Alzheimer’s in bringing this unique fundraiser for everyone to enjoy and the opportunity to contribute in this fight to conquer AD. We will keep you abreast of the plans and look forward to you joining us.

In the meantime, I have two articles that I would like to share with you that I had the honor to participate in. The first is USCD’s newsletter that highlights the affects and roles that genetics plays in AD:

The second is an article that was published in the Arizona Republic regarding the research that Banner Alzheimer’s Institute is engaged in along with the creation of the API (Alzheimer’s Prevention Initiative) which includes a National Registry for those who would like to participate in research:
